Throughout the year, MANY things are needed.  This is a list we’ve started & there will be LOTS more changes/additions to it:


JANUARY
School Supplies (I've heard it runs anywhere from $100-$180/year per child that a family MUST pay for for their children’s uniforms & school supplies. That's practically 1/2 a months salaries for many poor families!)
Food Staples  (BASICS:  Rice, Beans, Powdered Milk, Powdered Drink Mix, Salt, Lizano, Cooking Oil, Boxed Milk, Boxed Juice, Corn Flour, Sugar, Canned Tuna [they seem to like the Tico type with vegetables], Baby Formula, etc.  Check out the CR Humanitarian Foundations Food Bank Needs).
Cleaning Products
Personal Hygene
Tool/Paint/Building Supplies
Sports Equipment (Soccer items from balls to cleats, old uniforms, etc.)


FEBRUARY

Fabric (only cotton)

APRIL
Sports Equipment (fishing gear)
Art/Creative Supplies, Crafts (craft projects for adult women - knitting, things to make Xmas ornaments, fabric for quilts (with backing)

Tool/Paint/Building Supplies


JUNE
Sports Things (fishing gear)
Building Materials (especially that help them fix their homes up before the rains.  Everything from aluminum nails, roofing materials, big tarps (they blue style ones or just LONG pieces of plastic), hammers, saws+++!!

AUGUST (Mothers Day)
Makeup, Bras & Women’s Underwear, combs, brushes, hair dye, old eyeglasses, hair clips,
